Joey Charafi
Meet Joey

Not a career politician. A neighbor.

Joey Charafi grew up in Las Vegas and is raising his family here. When he saw the system failing Nevada kids on trafficking, family support, and basic accountability, he didn’t write a letter to his representative. He founded a nonprofit and went to work.

The Stop the Traffic Foundation is Joey’s life’s work. He built it from the ground up to combat child trafficking, support at‑risk youth, and move faster than government can.

Fifteen years running businesses in media, production, and logistics taught him how real economies and real families work. He’ll bring that to Carson City.

Real leadership means showing up, not waiting to be asked.

The Plan

Where Joey stands

Practical, conservative solutions for the families and small businesses of Assembly District 8.

01

Protect Kids from Trafficking

Joey built a nonprofit to fight this. In Carson City, he’ll make Nevada the hardest state in the West to exploit a child.

  • Statewide Safe Haven network
  • Faster crisis routing for victims
  • Real coordination between law enforcement and frontline nonprofits
02

Your Tax Dollars, In Plain Sight

Every state contract, vendor, and dollar spent should be searchable in plain English. No more backroom deals on your dime.

  • A live public spending dashboard
  • Independent audits on major contracts
  • Plain-English budget reporting
03

Jobs, Film & Small Business

Las Vegas shouldn’t just host entertainment. It should produce it, and create high-wage jobs here at home.

  • A Creative & Tech Accelerator
  • Cut the red tape on small businesses
  • Bring production jobs to Clark County
04

Schools & Families

Families are squeezed by the cost of living, scarce childcare, and schools that have lost focus. Parents deserve options.

  • School choice for every family
  • Expanded after-school programs
  • Workforce pipelines to real careers
05

Public Safety & Homelessness

Safety is the foundation everything else is built on. Back the people who protect us and fix the root causes.

  • Support for first responders
  • Housing navigation and treatment
  • Job placement from street to stability
06

Animal Welfare

Make Clark County a place where animals are protected, not exploited.

  • Crack down on illegal breeding and abuse
  • Stronger shelter enforcement partnerships
  • More adoption events
