About Joey
Joey Charafi grew up here. He raised his family here. And when he saw the system failing kids in Nevada -- on child trafficking, on family support, on basic accountability -- he didn't write a letter to his representative. He founded a nonprofit and got to work.
The Stop the Traffic Foundation is Joey's life work, not a talking point. He built it from scratch to combat child trafficking, support at-risk youth, and move faster than government ever could. That same urgency is why he's running for the Nevada State Assembly.
His background in media, production, and small business means he walks into Carson City understanding how real economies and real families work -- not just how they look in a budget presentation. Leadership is about action. Joey's record shows it.

Joey built a nonprofit to fight this. In the Assembly, he'll push for a statewide Safe Haven network, faster crisis routing, and real coordination between law enforcement and frontline nonprofits -- not another task force that produces a report.
